Welcome !

The FENU Institute of Foreign Languages, established on March 1, 1999, is the only institute of this kind in the Russian Far East. While the Institute itself is very young by any standard, it is rooted to the FENU's English Department, the region's oldest foreign language school rich in tradition and teaching know-how. The Institute trains professional linguists specializing in Language Studies and Intercultural Contacts with a focus on the English, French, German, Spanish and Italian languages.

Besides a regular five-year BA degree in these languages, the Institute offers a condensed BA course to college and university graduates. The Institute also has a postgraduate school in Germanic Language Studies. The Institute centers its research projects primarily around contacts of cultures and languages. The Institute's chairs and departments conduct research in the various aspects of these issues.
